Eucalyptus Oil
Eucalyptus oil is extracted from the eucalyptus tree. There are various types of eucalyptus trees but only a few are suitable for eucalyptus extraction. The oil is extracted from the fresh or partially dried leaves and from the young twigs.
Eucalyptus oil has been used throughout history as an insect repellent. It is a terrific repellent for ticks, black flies, mosquitoes and mites.
Eucalyptus oils can also be used to keep fleas and ticks away from your pets.
For your pets: Using Eucalyptus in a pet shampoo will not only provide a great natural coat fragrance, but it will also function as an insect deterrent.
We have found that Shiny Paw®, a superb all-natural dog and cat shampoo, does an amazing job in keeping fleas and ticks away from your four legged friends.
Place some Shiny Paw® shampoo on a cloth underneath the cushions of your pet's bed for extra protection against fleas and mosquitoes, and it will hide odors as well.
